In 2017 I began a project to photograph the dogs in my community, a place called The Peloton, in Boulder, Colorado.  I thought I would photograph about 25 or so dogs over maybe a three-month period.   Ultimately, I spent probably two years making dog portraits.    As people moved into the community, they brought new dogs.  And, not wanting  newcomers to the neighborhood feel unwelcome, I photographed them too.  

 

I finally had to pause in early 2019.  I created a hard bound book as a gift to the community, and we had a gallery show that included about 30 photographs.
